The recently refurbished, absolutely massive rooms were mind-blowing! The perfect location for business travelers with an on-site fitness center and mini sauna. The chef prepared a super vegan meal on the spot. The restaurant provided excellent food for dinner and breakfast. Spacious rooms with outdoor sitting areas and modern bathrooms. Ample parking and plenty of entertainment with a wide range of TV programs and free Wi-Fi. The best choice for car travelers in the area for business, with extra-large rooms and free parking. The restaurant was outstanding too.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing Easter getaway. The location was ideal, being conveniently close to the highway for easy access. Another advantage was the restaurant, which served delicious food. It was a great place to enjoy a tasty meal after a long day of exploring.

The menu options were limited and the quality of the food was subpar, tasting like a microwave meal. the staff's refusal to provide cutlery for a quick supermarket-bought meal was frustrating and seemed unreasonable.

slight mould in one of the two rooms (bathrooms) we had booked. no suit in the bathroom. hotel's own wlan was working, connection was interrupted after a short "not using" period. location of the hotel - to the beach and to groningen it was a 20 minutes drive each (but can be recognized as "own mistake" when booking). breakfast was usually from 8-11 and when we (4 persons) came to the hotel at 10, choice was already limited and there was no more bread / rolls / toppings / drinks, etc. all in all the hotel met our requirements. The hotel is quite suitable for a short trip (in our case over new year's eve and also recommended)

The room with balcony or terrace at Van Der Valk Hotel Groningen Zuidbroek is amazing! I loved the separate shower and bathtub - perfect for a relaxing soak. The sitting area was cozy and the television kept me entertained. the room felt comfortable and had all the amenities I needed.

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the hairdryer provided in the room. But hey, that's just my preference and I'm sure others might still find it useful.

Large comfortable rooms with free wifi and good facilities. Resaurant is good with generous meals at reasonable prices. Cost of accommodation also very reasonable.

Swimming pool opening hours totally useless - not available evenings or mornings!

The restaurant in this large hotel offers a good selection of food, and the atmosphere is pleasant with adequate lighting. The communal areas are spacious and lead to the main restaurant, making it easy to navigate the hotel. the rooms are large with comfortable beds for a good night's sleep.

The reception staff was unhelpful and slow to respond to requests.

Excellent large bedrooms with good sized bathroom. very nice decoration to communal indoor areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The exterior of the bedroom section of the hotel required some attention together with the car park and grounds in front of rooms. This detracted from the interior quality of the hotel.

I felt like a VIP at the Live Cooking restaurant where the chef prepared delicious dishes in front of me. The autumn ambiance added to the unique experience.

Who needs privacy when the balcony is shared with all the rooms? So considerate.

The fitness room was very small (only cardio bike etc., no dumbles) and hot. To reach the restaurant and breakfast room you have to go outside.

As someone who frequently travels by car, I really appreciate the ample free parking at this hotel. Additionally, the clean and spacious room with a comfortable bed and large bathroom were a welcome respite from the busy Groningen area. The hotel's location in a quiet area was a major plus. Finally, the breakfast was great and the staff members were helpful and efficient.
